As many of you may know, I started Kids First Pediatric Partners in 2004 as a solo practitioner, after spending five years at a practice in Skokie. When I left that practice to go out on my own, I was so fortunate to have the support of the community behind me, which I appreciate to this day. After I retired from Kids First in 2023, I was ready for a break, and not sure if I would return to clinical practice. I have certainly enjoyed the travel and flexibility of the past two years, but I miss caring for children and their families. To that end, I began working part time at the Pediatric Down Syndrome Clinic at Advocate Children’s Hospital, as well as PM Pediatrics Urgent Care. It was wonderful to start seeing patients again, and made me realize that my true passion is in Pediatric Primary Care and fostering relationships.
For those of you I haven’t met yet, let me tell you a bit about my practice style. I have been a Board Certified Pediatrician for 26 years, and I have a special interest in children with special needs, due to my own experience raising a child with Down syndrome. I believe children are best served when there is mutual trust between the family and the physician. I have a common sense approach to children’s medical and development needs, and am not quick to prescribe antibiotics.
I am very grateful for the opportunity here at Midwest Refuah Health Center, and I look forward to serving the community again.
