Meet Our Leadership Team
Ned Schoenfeld — Chief Executive Officer
Ned Schoenfeld has been with Midwest Refuah Health Center (MRHC) since its inception. His background in health care administration, finance, technology, operations, and his experience in managing large teams led the Board of Directors to appoint him as CEO of MRHC in February 2024. Ned is also the founding member of Covehill Consulting LLC, and has been instrumental in providing strategic guidance, project planning, organizational transformation and has helped clients across various industries achieve significant improvements in revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. In his role as CEO, Ned is responsible for overseeing all facets of our organization and for ensuring our day-to-day work aligns with MRHC’s mission to be our community’s one-stop trusted solution for accessible, affordable healthcare.
Karlea Abel — Director of Quality & Compliance
Karlea Abel is a dedicated public health and quality improvement professional with ten years of experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), population health, and community-oriented primary care. Her expertise extends to strategic leadership, quality enhancement, spearheading innovative program development and healthcare consulting. Karlea has extensive knowledge in eClinicalWorks and assists MRHC with training new employees and ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently. Karlea also oversees the adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, internal policies, and healthcare standards in accordance with HRSA guidelines, FQHC regulations, and state and local regulations.
Adam Del Conte, M.D. — Clinical Director
Dr. Adam Del Conte is the Clinical Director of Midwest Refuah Health Center. He provides strategic leadership, ensures quality of care, maintains regulatory compliance, and oversees staff development. He received his medical degree from Quillen College of Medicine at ETSU and completed his residency at Northwestern’s Family & Community Medicine program in Humboldt Park. Prior to his role as Clinical Director, Dr. Del Conte served as the Chief Medical Officer and Urgent Care Physician at Midwest Express Clinic in Chicago, IL. With a unique blend of medical expertise and community engagement, Adam Del Conte continues to make a positive impact in healthcare and beyond.
Marni Rosen — Director of Behavioral Health
Dr. Marni Rosen Psy.D ATR-BC is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Board-Certified Art Therapist having graduated from Adler University in 2011. She specializes in Trauma Centered Psychotherapy and the application of art therapy with anxiety and stress related disorders. She served as the Practice Director and founding Board member of the Institute for Therapy Through the Arts and assisted in its establishment as an independent non-profit. She is a consultant, and trainer on Trauma Centered Psychotherapy and art therapy. In addition to being a published author of four academic papers including “Adlerian Art Therapy with Survivors of Sexual Assault” in the Journal of Individual Psychology and “Developmental Transformations Art Therapy” in the Journal of the American Art Therapy Association. She believes that Midwest Refuah can become known as a home for the community’s mental wellness.
Sneha Abichandani, M.D. — Pediatrician
Dr. Sneha Abichandani has worked in a federally qualified health system from early in her career. She fell in love with the fact that, as a pediatrician, she can make a significant difference in a child’s life, thereby creating a bond with families and contributing to a better world. Dr. Abichandani has a wealth of experience and extensive training in pediatrics from her time at St. John Hospital in Detroit. She specializes in treating asthma, allergies, and eczema. During her time with MRHC, she intends to bridge the healthcare gaps in the community and create long lasting relationships with the families by being their provider, mentor, advocate, and friend. Dr. Abichandani is committed to making a positive impact on the well-being of children.
